DONATE

Europa Nostra UK is a UK-based charity that supports Europa Nostra, the pan-European federation of heritage NGOs (non-governmental organisations) and leading citizens’ movement to protect and celebrate Europe’s cultural and natural heritage. All donations are gratefully received via Bank Transfer.

Where will my donation go?

Your donation will help to support a broad range of initiatives, including the following:

YOUNG MEMBERS’ PROJECTS

Europa Nostra is dedicated to engaging young people with cultural heritage across Europe. In the UK, we have a range of initiatives aimed at fostering positive relationships with young people and cultural heritage.

Membership of Europa Nostra is free for 18-30 year olds.

EUROPEAN HERITAGE AWARDS / EUROPA NOSTRA AWARDS

The awards scheme contributes to a stronger public recognition of cultural heritage as a strategic resource for Europe’s society and economy. Your donation could help to increase the profile of the awards in the UK, encouraging submissions and celebrating award winners.

THE 7 MOST ENDANGERED PROGRAMME IN THE UK

The 7 Most Endangered programme identifies threatened monuments and sites in Europe, mobilising public and private partners to find a viable future for those sites. Your donation could help to increase the profile of the 7ME nominations in the UK, encouraging new submissions.

INFLUENCE CULTURAL HERITAGE POLICY IN EUROPE

Europa Nostra acts as a relay between civil society and EU institutions, raising awareness on the value of cultural heritage for Europe, advocating mainstream heritage into EU policies and securing adequate funding, as well as actively contributing to the EU policy debate and policy-making process. Your donation could assist Europa Nostra UK’s role in influencing the UK’s cultural heritage policy, and serving to protect Europe’s and the UK’s cultural heritage.

PRODUCING USEFUL PUBLICATIONS

Europa Nostra publications cover a range of topics on European cultural heritage, raising awareness among local, national and European authorities and the general public. These include the Learning Kits for heritage civil society organisations, the Heritage is Ours – Citizens Participating in Decision Making and the annual ‘Heritage in Action’ magazine. Your donation could help the UK to contribute to the production of useful publications.

CAMPAIGN FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE UK’S CULTURAL HERITAGE

Europa Nostra UK regularly contributes to campaign efforts to preserve and protect cultural heritage sites in the UK. For example, we submitted a formal response to the planning application to redevelop Waterloo Dock in Liverpool, raising our concerns and actively being a voice for cultural heritage in the UK.

KEEPING THE UK INFORMED AND CONNECTED TO EUROPE

Europa Nostra UK provides regular updates about cultural heritage events, policy changes and other news via our ‘news’ page and newsletter. Your donation could help to support the production of these communications.
