Over the last ten years MINARE (Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge) has revolutionised our understanding of manuscript heritage. The project received a European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Award in 2023, in the Research category.

The Local Awards Ceremony for Yr Ysgwrn which took place aptly on Armistice Day Monday 11 November 2019 on site was a combination of celebration for the winning of a EU Prize for Cultural Heritage/Europa Nostra Award 2019 in the Category of Conservation and a moving powerful remembrance for those who died in the First World War.

Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire, which has been at the forefront of astronomical research for many decades, was awarded World Heritage Site status on 7th July 2019, thus becoming the UK’s 32nd World Heritage site.
